How To Make Real Money With eBay

It's been a while since I've posted/visited the boards. I just wanted to share with everyone that I've been selling refurbished printers on Ebay lately and some other things also. You can check out my feedback under my username as Lilith383.

I wanted to find out if anyone would be interested in buying a wholesale lot of printers. I've found it to be very profitable. I've sold almost 200 printers in the last 6 months without adapters, ink, missing parts or manuals and made some decent money.

These printers are refurbished/used directly from Best Buy. Some of them already work and some of them need fixing. Some of them take the regular type power cord and some take the larger adapters. The lot will not include the adapters, so you will need to purchase some to do the testing. It is important that you test every single printer before selling on ebay otherwise you will get a lot of returns and it's not worth it. In my experience , I've probably only had less than 10 returns out of all the printers I've sold. This is due to patiently testing every one and also fixing them up. To really successfully sell on ebay, you have to be very honest on the items you sell. If it's missing parts, you need to make sure you state that. If there's anything wrong with it at all, you must state it or you will run into a lot of problems. Most of the printers I sell, are actually worth around $200 on average, the selling price will really depend on a number of things including: feedback, your professional template, if you have a business name or not, if you keep good communication with customers with questions. On average, I'd say you can earn about $30-$100 per printer depending on the printer also. But you will always make some type of profit on each one in my experience.

If anyone is seriously interested in doing this. You have to make sure you get a business/resale license and also a business paypal account, and Business EIN. This will keep you from running into problems later with paypal because they are wondering why you are receiving so much money through your account. I've understood that if you fill in all your business info on your paypal account they will leave you alone and not harass you. I've had friends who did not do this and their paypal account was frozen because of the lack of info. They have not bothered me at all and I've received over thousands (of course not at one time) through my account.

I am an honest individual and would like to help others with making some extra money. The money you make from this will all depend on you. The more you list the more you make. It's as simple as that. You control your earnings. It's good to get a small team going, one to fix printers, one to list on ebay and answer e-mails, one to box the printers. You do not have to do this but if you feel overwhelmed with the work then this is a suggestion. I normally answer the e-mails, list on ebay, and box my own printers, My business partner will do the fixing and we split the profit. To really enjoy this type of work you really have to like it. If you are not used to the ebay selling, most of the time you will get overwhelmed and it will feel like a lot of work. This business will be good for someone who is already an ebay seller but is looking for a supplier of products. If you are not an ebay seller, I would advise that you start off small. Sell things around the house that you don't need anymore and then work your way up. Get your feedback to a good standing and then start doing bigger items. As far as saving on shipping supplies. Walmart is known to give out free boxes in the wee hours of the morning. Make sure you call them first and ask them if it's ok to swing buy and pick up the cereal boxes, which are perfect for shipping some of the printers. Of course this is entirely up to you, you may think it's unprofessional to sell printers in a cereal box, but customers really don't care as much as you think. They are more concerned on getting a good product. I swear this will save you a ton of money if you do it this way. If you don't like that idea, you can buy boxes in bulk from uline.com for a really good price. Also for cushioning the printers, you can go to your local newspaper recycling center and get an endless supply of free newspaper or uline.com. Buy bulk tape either online or Sam's Club or Costco or even uline. This will maximize your profit when selling printers. I would advise using DHL.com to ship them because they have pretty much the cheapest shipping rate if you use their online shipping. Although they charge for pick-ups ($3/package), I would advise that you just drop off the packages at a dhl location for free.

Anyways I hope this helped some people. If you have any questions or want to get in on this or have questions on ebay in general. I've been on ebay for about 2-3 years off and on. Feel free to ask any questions here and i'll do my best to answer them. I'm pretty sure I left stuff out so jsut let me know if i forget to mention something.

Thanks
